Overview
ESPN, as the exclusive home of Formula 1 in the United States, offers sports fans comprehensive coverage, allowing them to enjoy every session of every race. Users can access a wealth of information including news, latest positions, videos, commentary, lap charts, grids, circuit details, and more, providing an immersive and all-encompassing Formula 1 experience.
GOAL: Create a product catering to the intricate needs of racing sports enthusiasts, blending simplicity and intuitiveness to provide an elegant user experience, while concurrently advancing crucial business objectives strategically.

The Challenge
- To streamline the complexity of racing sports, a phased approach was adopted, encompassing the Race Strip, Content Components, and Circuit Race Track for enhanced clarity and user engagement.
- Develop a responsive Race Strip accommodating information for Free Practice, Qualifying, Race, and spanning Pre, Live, and Post-race states for a comprehensive and adaptable user experience.
- Introduce specialized modules tailored for Formula One, leveraging existing components to enhance and expand the product’s capabilities.
- Create, establish and define a cohesive visual style for multiple Formula One circuit race tracks, ensuring a unified and engaging design aesthetic across the diverse racing environments.
- Implementation of both light and dark modes to accommodate user preferences for optimal visibility and a personalized viewing experience.

The App web view has been seamlessly integrated into the ESPN App, featuring both light and dark modes for an optimized and personalized user experience.
Enhanced Free Practice experience on the Game Strip, offering expanded displays with comprehensive details for an enriched user interaction.
WEB DESIGN
Desktop
Delivering an aesthetically pleasing and minimalist responsive design, our platform guarantees user-friendly navigation and scannable modules. Utilizing country flags and team colors facilitates easy team identification, while the race strip integrates circuit track images for visual appeal. Featuring a prominent video, a Watch module, and a positions module for quick scanning, The design seamlessly transitions between light and dark modes, ensuring accessibility and an enjoyable user experience.

As part of the redesign, SF Pro Display, Text font family were used on the Project as well as a defined minimalist style and colors.

COMPONENTS
Circuit Race Track Design
After extensive explorations and iterations, a design style for ESPN Formula 1 circuit race tracks has been meticulously defined. The result is a highly flexible and easily updatable design, featuring templates that streamline the presentation and maintenance of content.
SHOWCASE
Final Project
Harmonizing the user experience across Desktop, Mobile Web, and App platforms, the design iterations incorporate relevant images, particularly focusing on race circuit tracks, modular components, and the adaptation to both light and dark modes.
